Fresh Market price comparison
Fresh Market is the supermarket chain owned by Paz Retail and Energy, the same company behind the Yellow forecourt shops. It is a good illustration that shared ownership does not mean shared pricing: a shop at a filling station and a neighbourhood supermarket are built for completely different trips. Kniham reads each branch's price list on its own and assumes nothing from the owner's name.
Where the chain came from
Fresh Market was founded in 2004, and on 4 August 2021 an agreement was signed to sell it to Paz for 2.147 billion shekels. It had collected brands over the years and ran about 43 branches as of 2021, trading also as Mahsanei Lahav, Mahsanei Mazon, Tip Tov, Super Dosh and Hyper Dudu.
How the prices reach us
This chain publishes its branch prices on a shared price-publication site, where most of the publications we read also sit. The price shown is the last one we have read for the branch you picked.

What you can do in the app
- Scan a barcode in the aisle and see the price here and at other chains.
- Pick the branch you are in, and your list shows its prices beside each item.
- Keep a shared list with the family — it carries on working with no signal, and syncs when it returns.

Common questions
Are Fresh Market and Yellow the same thing?
The same owner, a different kind of shop. The price lists are published separately, so the app compares each branch on its own.
Why do some branches not appear?
We show branches the chain publishes a price list for. A new store can appear only once it enters the publication.
Why does Fresh Market publish under Paz?
Because the shops are run by Paz Retail and Energy, which also runs the Yellow shops. Both publish under the same company, and each has its own page here.
