H. Cohen price comparison
H. Cohen Food and Beverage Agency is one of the smaller names on our list, and it publishes a price list per branch exactly as the large chains do. What that means for you is simple: a neighbourhood shop can be compared against a discounter on precisely the same products, by barcode, instead of assuming in advance that the smaller one costs more. Here too the comparison is made branch by branch.
How the prices reach us
This chain publishes its branch prices on a shared price-publication site, where most of the publications we read also sit. The price shown is the last one we have read for the branch you picked.

What you can do in the app
- Prices are published branch by branch, so two branches of one chain need not charge the same.
- Scan in the aisle and see what the branch you are standing in charges.
- The list keeps working where the shop has no signal, and syncs when it returns.
Common questions
Does every chain have to publish prices?
No. The law places the duty on a large retailer, defined by the number of stores and the turnover it sets out. H. Cohen publishes a price list, which is why it appears here; a chain that does not publish will not.
Is a small shop always more expensive?
Not always, and certainly not on every product. That is exactly what is worth checking rather than assuming.
