Kniham

Nativ Hesed price comparison

נתיב החסד - סופר חסד בע"מ (כולל ברכל) · publishes on its own site

Nativ Hesed runs more than one store brand — its official publication covers Barkol (ברכל) as well — so the chain name alone does not tell you which price list you are looking at. The same is true of other large chains, and it is the reason Kniham always works at branch level: choose the specific store, and you get the prices published for it.

Where the chain came from

Nativ Hesed was founded in 2006 by Shmuel Atias and serves mainly the Haredi public, with a strong presence in Bnei Brak, Elad, Ashdod, Haifa and Modi'in Illit. In 2019 it bought Barkol — a chain Menachem Carmel founded in 1991 — taking the group to around 90 branches, some forty of which still trade as Bar Kol-Tov.

How the prices reach us

This chain publishes on its own site rather than through a shared service, so it has an address and a reader of its own at our end. Here too, what you see is the last price we read, branch by branch.

What you can do in the app

  • A large household buys in quantity, and a big pack is only cheaper if it is cheaper per kilo. Scan it and find out.
  • On bread, milk and eggs you will find no gap between chains, because their price is controlled — which is exactly what makes the rest of the basket worth checking.
  • One shared list stops the same item being bought twice.

Common questions

Is Barkol included in the data?

The chain's publication covers the stores it reports on. In the app you choose a branch, and that is what decides which prices are shown.

Why pick a branch rather than a chain?

Because the price list is published per branch, and two stores in one chain can be priced differently.

Does this include Barkol?

Yes. Nativ Hesed's publication covers Barkol as well, so those branches are read from the same place.
