Finding nearby branches
Before the app can show a branch's prices it has to know which branch you are in. That is all the shops screen is for.
How it works
The app lists the shops nearest to you, with the distance to each. Pick the one you are in, or the one you are heading to, and your list switches to its prices.
If you would rather not grant the location permission, you can pick a shop by hand. Location saves you some typing. It is not a condition of using the app.
Why it matters
Because every branch publishes its own price list. Pick the wrong one and you are looking at another shop's prices, which is the kind of mistake you only notice at the till. Confirming the branch once on the way in avoids it.
Shopping in two places
If you are thinking of splitting the shop, look first at how big the gap is on your basket, then at how long the drive is. Ten minutes in the car costs time as well as fuel, and sometimes paying a little more close to home and being done is the better deal.
The number that settles it is the gap on your own basket, and that is what the list shows once you have picked a branch.
Common questions
Does the app track my location?
Your location is used to show nearby shops and to suggest the branch you are in. You can use the app without granting it, and pick a shop by hand instead.
Why is a shop I know not listed?
We show the branches that chains publish a price list for. An independent shop that is not part of a reporting chain will not appear.
